Event Information

Aimed at businesses, Lincoln Be Smarter's showcase event is held in collaboration with the University of Lincoln and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Industry Day. Held in the Isaac Newton Building, INB0114, the event runs from 9.45am-3pm and includes welcome refreshments and lunch, talks from our guest speakers, networking opportunities, and optional tours of the Isaac Newton Building and The Bridge with the chance to meet researchers, see labs, and explore innovation spaces.

Our keynote speaker is Gerard Grech, CBE. Gerard Grech is the founder, advisor, and former Chief Executive of Tech Nation (now part of the Founders Forum Group), which contributed to building the UK’s $1 trillion+ digital technology ecosystem.

11.45am-12pm: Talk by Head of School of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Revd. Dr Alexander Borman to introduce Collaboration opportunities with UoL to be discussed after lunch.

12pm-12.30pm: Lunch Break and Networking

12.30pm-1.15pm: Academic Spotlight: Collaboration Opportunities.

1.15pm-1.30pm: LBS Closing Remarks by Enterprise and Innovation

1pm-3pm: Optional Tours: INB Facilities and The Bridge
Small group guided tours of the Isaac Newton Building and The Bridge are also available where attendees can meet researchers, see labs, and explore innovation spaces.
